The Broken Hearts were Hartford, Connecticut''s premier pop/rock band from the early Eighties until they moved to New York City in 1985. That same year, the quartet featuring future Rooks Michael Mazzarella and Patrick Yourell, along with Jamie Beckett and Tom Bittel released their only album Want One? on the Scarlette label. Portland Oregon''s Paisley Pop label makes available for the first time on CD this long out-of-print collector''s item with 11 bonus selections. Tracks of interest to Rooks'' fans are rehearsal versions of "Always You And Me" and "Circle Of Fools." Both songs were staples in the Broken Hearts'' live set which later turned up on The Rooks'' self-titled debut. This also gives fans a look into Mazzarella''s early recorded output. A fun listen!
