Don Lerman is a saxophonist and writer/arranger of note in the Washington, DC area. His performing and writing skills are displayed on his new CD, The Zoot Side of Life, a tribute to legendary tenor saxophonist Zoot Sims. As jazz performer and writer Barry Velleman comments:
“The music of tenor saxophonist Zoot Sims (1925-1985) was characterized by a buoyant, swinging energy combined with a sense of flow and relaxation.
