Since the mid-1980s, Sharon Leahy and Rick Good have been
co-directing and performing with the dance and music company Rhythm in Shoes, a company of dancers and musicians with a reperetoire rooted in traditional forms
of American music and dance from swing tunes & tap to hoedowns & clogging. Their critically acclaimed work, captures the spirit of traditional dance and music and
releases it onstage with a thoroughly modern sensibility.
TrueBlue is a collection of love songs lovingly rendered by Sharon & Rick in celebration of their first twenty years together. Accompanied by Greg Dearth on saxophone & clarinet, Pete Sutherland on violin, Ben Cooper on bass,
Kevin Anderson on drums and Rick on guitar and duet vocals, Sharon''s singing comes through the speakers like the kicker on a julip or two.
When not traveling with Rhythm in Shoes, Sharon is Artist in Residence at the University of Dayton and also teaches Ashtanga Yoga. Rick moonlights with the Red Clay Ramblers of North Carolina and continues to write songs and
work on new recordings.
