Moving to Cornwall after the break up of his marriage, a philandering middle-aged writer finds himself manipulated into slavery by his devious young Indian housekeeper.

With the help of an older fellow countryman and Internet mentor, Anya Jalav begins burrowing under the defences of her superior, and disinterested, employer with the intention of becoming indispensable to both the smooth running of his household and the man himself.

So successful is she that, before too long -career in tatters and social life non-existent- Bernard Lambert finds he is drawn more and more to his facially unprepossessing servant with the equine features.
