The Shaping & Shifting of Objects & Sound, Volumes I & II is the latest release from Jen Woodhouse. This double-disc EP is the follow-up to her internationally-acclaimed debut album, This Honest Age (2005). A vibrant blend of rock, pop, folk, and jazz, Jen seamlessly moves from piano to guitar, weaving imaginative melodies with her powerhouse vocals. Her contemplative, intelligent lyrics contain many layers of metaphor that only multiple listens can uncover. Though Jen''s songs are born out of heartache and pain, they are fueled by a fierce hope and optimistic wonder. Immediately after releasing her debut album, Jen independently launched an international tour in support of it, including dates spanning from Nashville to Los Angeles to Toronto and back again. Jen has played almost a hundred shows this year, including various music festivals like Austin''s SXSW, Atlanta''s Atlantis Music Conference & Festival, and Toronto''s Indie Week Music Festival. She has recently returned from a 3-week tour in the United Kingdom. Jen continues to tour extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Catch Jen performing live on The Green Light Tour in May 2007. The Green Light Tour is a month-long tour across 22 cities in the US & Canada to promote her newest album and global warming awareness.
