Details:
Born in Weymouth Ma, moving to Hingham Ma, then to California, then back to Peabody Ma. as a young lad. Staying put till the age of 15, then off again to North Conway, NH. where Kevin finished High School and quickly made his way to NYC to pursue a dream of Rock Stardom.

Kevin started playing music at the ripe old age of 9 with the harmonica, then drum and bugle corps, then some piano lessons from Mom, who was a decent pianist herself. Dad was an Irish tenor who recorded some traditional Irish music back in the 40''s. Kevin went on to play Guitar, then settled on the Bass because, as he says, " it had less strings to worry about".
Once in NYC Kevin began studying Vocals, ear training and theory with Ann Ruckert, who toured with Joe Cocker, T Rex and countless others.

Working with some bands of no particular note until meeting up with Tony Contos to form Firesign with Keith Ratner and Geoff Green to make an EP which ended up not doing well at all.

But things where looking up when Tony started playing with a band called WOOFWOOF back in 1990, Kevin was a fan instantly, drawn by the incredible high energy punk, funk, reggae influenced rock to the point of wishing he could be a member...

Going to almost every show and becoming friendly with Lead singer and founder of WOOFWOOF, Frank Carbone, Kevin found an opening when Then Bassist Paul Prescod was due to leave the band for reasons of a paternal nature. (His wife was pregnant with Twins).

Kevin asked if he could audition, and knowing almost all of the tunes, slipped right in seamlessly. It was what seemed to be fate with the instant, almost perfect fit and feel.

WOOFWOOF went on to record 2 cd''s that garnered radio play all around the world with the coming of the Internet and was featured on a compilation cd produced by Morgan Fisher (Keyboardist, Mott the Hoople, Queen and others).

WOOFWOOF Still plays the occasional show for charities such as the annual Hangdown Harrell event, Bikers Against Breast Cancer or personal fundraisers for friends who have lost loved ones or other tragic events. The Trade Center being one and a few years back, an event for Hale House (the haven for children of drug addicted mothers).

Being around all these charitable events has brought Kevin to his current effort and live show " Songs From 13th Avenue " Which subtly deals with, Homelessness, Drug addiction, Alcoholism and unforeseen circumstance as well as life in general from a personal perspective from the character.
Pointing out some of the harshness not seen by the average person, who may be walking by the poor unfortunate in the street and not even batting an eye to the misfortune that they otherwise wouldn''t think twice about.

Kevin has brought some of this street life to the stage in his one-man acoustic show, with stage props and sound effects to simulate a street corner in NYC.
13th Avenue doesn''t exist in NYC, but if you suspend belief for a few minutes, you can be made to understand that even a fictional character in a fictional place can have a profound effect on the average human psyche.

With a collection of new songs, and the stage persona of "Buster Heyman Jr." (an ex rodeo clown turned musician, heroin addict, alcoholic, street performer).
With stage props, sound effects, and a compelling performance, Kevin Brings 13th Avenue to life, With the feel of off, off Broadway on acid, this show could be the next big thing to hit the streets of Anytown USA, and just maybe get some people to think of some of the dire consequences involved in life at the other end of the spectrum.

Keep an ear out for the CD "Songs From 13th Avenue" to be released in the spring of 2005.
