The project began in 2006 from an idea of Antonio Iasevoli, musician and eclectic guitar-player involved actively for several years in the italian musical scene in different fields that span from jazz to rock, to improvised music, as well as classic music and popular music both in acoustic and electronic key.
With Adriano LoGiudice on bass guitar, musician with a background in rock, with long experience in the major music productions and tournée, always interested in improvised music and contaminations; with Emanuele Tommasi on drums , young talent, with a punk and hard core past, he''s also open to music as wild spread language.
In English "Tie" means bond, link (in the napolitan dialect is a slang that can be used to say "take!" or to keep someone off…). It is precisely the idea of such bonds (and their opposite) the starting point of this project: by its nature a bond doesn''t have rules, sometimes is natural, simple, clear, spontaneously harmonic, some other times instead is characterized by strong and disturbed contrasts that nevertheless coo-live unlikely, giving birth to strange and interesting "alien" forms, with precise identity, unique and peculiar in their deep differences. Something similar takes place in this trio''s music.
The original Antonio Jasevoli''s compositions express a rigorous work on music writing, that spans from moments of simplicity and consonance , using quite and acoustic sounds to inconvenient rhythms of contrasts rhythmical-melodic apparently outlander and incompatible with each other, almost forced to live together, but with an articulated inner logic, on complex and informal harmonies, with the use of powerful sounds, row and abrasive switching with abstract areas of free improvisation enhanced by the use of electronic. The trio''s music was recorded between June and September 2006, and is documented on a cd: Antonio Jasevoli TIE TRIO. TIE.
