In 2004 Cape went into the studio to record his first record "Pour Me Down on You". It was produced by Award Winning & Multi-Platinum Songwriter Clay Cook (co-wrote "Room for Sqaures" by John Mayer & Clay Cook). The EP includes five songs and features the first single "She''s all mine". "Working with Clay has been the highlight of my journey thus far". All the tracks on the record were written by Cape & songwriter Nathan Bullman. Cape has been writing with Nathan since the beginning "We have totally different taste in music, but somehow we are able to find a nice blend". The record was finished up in late August after being mastered by Alex Lowe at Red Tuxcedo Studios in Atlanta. "I was raised on MTV & mainstream music, this record is a combination of everything I have ever listened to".
