About the music...
This entire CD is an amalgamation of various life experiences over the past years. Shortly after I released my first CD Epiphany, I went on a scuba diving trip to Grand Cayman. The idea for the title came from the full moon I saw the morning we left the island. Some of the songs on the CD have grown out of the experiences I had playing guitar for six months on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. Others are a reflection of the life process we all go through around love, loss and the celebration of personal growth......

Ensenada... having launched on this adventure as a professional musician (leaving a job in Denver as a newscast director with a local television station), I told my friend Degraz what I was up to. He told me he had just gone on a cruise ship and there was a guitar player on board! That evening I turned on the television and immediately saw a commercial for Royal Caribbean!!!! Trusting this as one of those intuitive "hits" I was supposed to pay attention to, I followed up with several cruise companies the next day. By December I was working for Royal Caribbean aboard "The Monarch of the Seas" out of L.A. One of the ports we stopped at was Ensenada... what a musical experience... Mariachi Bands playing outside on every street corner and at every restaurant...
A special thanks Mark, Mo, Giovanni, Marcus, Werner, Dennis, and ALL my friends working on The Monarch.... "respect", and to Ruben at CAFE INTERNET for your friendship and support..... :>)

Any Other Way.... there is a moment in the loss of anyone or anything that you truly love or has played an important role in
your life ... a moment where you straddle the fence of knowing you must let go and surrender, but still hanging on to the plea of
"isn't there any other way"... this I tried to put to music.

Out of the Ashes.... once one truly surrenders and lives in acceptance, the healing can begin. It's not always easy nor is it linear (some days it's one step forward and eight steps back!!!). But, if you stay with it, the New You emerges from the process. The Phoenix rises and somehow, the wound becomes the gift !!!!!!

Seaport Village.... another port we regularly stopped at was San Diego. (Beautiful especially from the harbor as you sail out to sea..). I would go to port and walk down to the area called Seaport Village. My favorite thing to do was stop for lunch at a wonderful restaurant called Harbor House. I would and sit out on their back deck in the sun and just watch the people and happenings going on, knowing I AM truly blessed.... thus Seaport Village.

The Hope... there is a saying that some friends of mine have that "anything I ever let go of has claw marks on it"...lol. Some of the songs on this CD have grown out of a past relationship I've been slow to release in the hope that something might still come out of it.

LoDo Bop.... in the early 90's, there was a neighborhood resurgence that Coors Field and the Colorado Rockies brought to Denver in the lower downtown area. Thus it became known as LoDo. Denver is a wonderful city! From Denver Pavilions, to Larimer Square, Boettcher Concert Hall to Coors Field, as you walk around you feel the pulse. Take a stroll and see for yourself if you don't find your stride has take on a little attitude, a little LoDo Bop!

Dotsero⦠When I lived NY, I recorded some original rock tunes with a Jersey Shore feel (maybe I'll release them some day as the early years). I had started listening to NY radio station WRVR and loved it... moving to Colorado Springs in the early 90's, there was a strong jazz scene present (Rob Mullins, Nelson Rangell, Images) and a band called Dotsero. Their energy and the music that they play inspired me. I thought "I would LOVE to do what they are doing". So I went back and started to formally study guitar and music... I am fortunate to say that over the years the members of Dotsero and I have become friends. I wrote this tune to say "thanks" for the seed of inspiration to chase my dream. A special thanks to Steve Watts for playing sax on this tune... you ripp!

Cayman Moon... I had just released my first CD Epiphany and went on vacation to Grand Cayman. While there, I visited a few local radio stations and gave them a copy for the possibility of air play. Imagine my surprise and delight when I got a message over the dive boat radio from the resort I was staying at, that the local radio station was featuring my CD that afternoon!. Returning from the scuba dive, I stood in the lounge of Cobalt Coast resort and listened as Wayne LeClanc (the on air talent at VIBE 98.8) saying, "and here is Joel Rodney Siemion with his rendition of the Hollies song, Bus Stop". That was the very first air play of Epiphany. At 4am the day we left Grand Cayman, the moon was full and low clouds were racing past it creating an eerie and wonderful visual display...I did my best to translate the feeling of that into music.

You Know I'll Always Be In Love With You..... (the worlds longest song title, lol) To come to terms with the notion that because something is over, doesn't mean it can't be honored and allow that it was significant. As we move on, to realize that what was, truly WAS special. It can live in our hearts and memories as an honored part of our experience. We show up 100 for what life has in store for us as we open our hearts to new opportunities and allow the truth that there exists within us, some separate special place reserved to honor what we felt for another....
