Tolkien Way is about when I came to Switzerland from the UK back in 1995, coming to a strange place, strange language, and finding comfort in simple things such as reading and later on writing music. In fact it was probably making this change that got me into writing songs in the first place ..
The 3 songs on this cd were written and recorded between February and March of 2007. They were written on the piano and recorded in ‘the spare room’ and at Drumsforyou, online recording studio. The songs are tuneful (I think) and represent what I felt like playing and singing at the time I wrote them. They were such a pleasure for me to write, I hope you enjoy listening!
