The environment divides opinion so much these days. The green movement is criticized on the one hand by countless people, and hailed as the major force in saving the world by so many others. It is a tricky situation to moderate there are two sides each wedded to their beliefs, and deciding things on an ideological basis will only ever cause debate between the two sides. It is hard to convince someone who is not too interested in the environment to suddenly care unless you appeal to another instinct.
So many people change their cell phone almost as often as the weather changes. The main reason for this is that new phones with new features are being released all the time, and everyone wants to have the newest model, the coolest features and the best look. What few people think about is what theyll do with the old one and all too often it goes in the trash. How long do you think it takes for the component parts of a cell phone to break down in the landfills? Forever, thats how long.
If you were asked why you dont do more to help the environment, what would your first response be? If you are anything like the majority of people, the likely answer to that question would be it just costs too much or it seems like a lot of hard work. And you are far from the only person who feels that way. So many of us start out with good intentions, but when we encounter a problem we give up a little too quickly. Thats not being lazy or selfish, its just human nature.
