Carmel, California 3/1/07- A new artist has erupted onto the music scene with his new album " INFINITY"! at the age of 18 Max Georis has shown his awesome creativity as a musician.
Max Georis, a local Carmel CA guitarist/composer has finished his first album Titled "INFINITY". There is no one word that can be used to describe his flowing melodies, intense compositions , harmonies and progressive style.
Just out of high school Max has already successfully shown his talent as composer, lyricist, producer, engineer and musician. A one man show.
With his musical upbringing of his father Walter Georis from the legendary surf band "The Sandals" who wrote the music to “The Endless Summer" many people look forward to following Max on his musical journey.
In 2006 Max finally realized his dream of owning his own recording studio. After it was set up in his basement he got right to work on writing and recording music. " At first my songs weren’t that special" Says Max. "They were nothing more than some chords with a solo over them.
After a few months Max wrote " Strange Occurrence". The song that changed it all for him. “My dad always said that I should make sure people can whistle the melody to a song and when I heard him whistling the melody to Strange Occurrence one night, I knew that this song was a keeper."
Soon more music followed. " It seemed like endless ideas where just coming out of no where” Putting it all together was a challenge since
I practically had no experience in writing and recording”.
This album took a solid year to compose and record and now available.
" I''d love to have as many people as possible listen to my music. It means a lot to me that they appreciate my work. The music industry is pretty hardcore and every bit of support helps”. Says Max
Max Georis established Belmex Records and Majora Minor Publishing with it’s first release “Infinity”
With his wild black hair flowing and dark eyes blazing Max Georis, guitar in hand, has landed and it wasn''t a soft landing. After more than a year "holed up" in his studio, in search of his voice, this new artist has emerged with eight cuts ranging from the hard, pulsating drive of "I See You" and "Here We Go Again" to the sublime, undulating introspection of "Something There." Voices...not voice have emerged and why not? Each language has its strengths and weaknesses in communicating various thoughts and feelings--emotions and ideas. Just as he enjoys fluency in English, Spanish, and French, Max enjoys the rare ability to move fluently between musical styles, choosing the most compelling, forceful means to express his inner world. Eight cuts, each a promise of a musical future that I, for one, look forward too with eager anticipation.
