"Acoustic guitar virtuosity and lyrical poetry so seldom heard--simply inspiring." (J.M., Northfield, MN)

"A timeless sound, refreshing and captivating." (N.W., Castroville, CA)

"Piercing stories in song--hot guitar!" (Wiredtogether, https://www.tradebit.com)

"Like the Moody Blues on some tunes, but I''d say even more musical and satisfying." (R.M., Monterey, CA)

ABOUT THIS ALBUM:
The songs on this compact disc span nearly 25 years, most written between 1983-1992 in places as different as Egypt, India, Taiwan, Japan, Nepal, Hong Kong, Italy, and the U.S.--all locations that spurred lyrical "reflections" both "bright and dim" (from the song, "Amazing"). Though you might never know it had it not been written here, a majority of the tunes were recorded with a $30 Radio Shack mic and a 4-track cassette deck--or direct to 2-track tape when the 4-track broke--in living rooms, basements, bedrooms, and even a few closets around the globe. If you''re a budget-strapped musican, Natural Echo''s "Greatest Hits?" is downright inspirational. Listen to the tunes, and see if they aren''t seductively "studio quality". And if the painstaking and truly creative recording engineering (listen to the second half of "The Pool") doesn''t impress, the tunes fashioned by way of it likely will. Natural Echo''s "Greatest Hits?" are some of the most creative, inspired, and emotionally-exposed acoustic music you may ever hear. Performances are virtuosic. Lyrics captivate, grab, and sometimes twist...hard. A unique gem, 25 years in the unearthing!

FROM THE CD FACE:
"My adventure with these songs has been an extended one, but like Captain Kirk said while dying beneath the twisted metal of that collapsed skywalk on Veridian III, "It''s been fun..." As I attempt to put some closure on these tunes with the release of this compilation, my thoughts turn constantly to those of you who gave so much of yourselves to help make these early Natural Echo projects work. Your time, talents, advice, criticism, encouragement, equipment, instruments, sense of humor, and extreme patience, gave these songs a reality in the physical/audible realm. I am whole-heartedly grateful. Thanks for sharing these adventures with me. - Tim (July 2007)"
