Nazarene Sect is a Christian hip hop band that uses rap music as a tool to promote Christ and His gospel message.
The band was formed in 1999 and with much labor produced their first album, Operation Soul Sweep in 2001. This project remains to be a pure hip hop, underground classic.
Over the coarse of the past several years the band as traveled using their music to shake the very foundation of the hip hop culture. Along with other artists, a new genre of music was formed and the word was getting out.
After some minor hurdles and member changes, Nazarene noticed the signs of the times and went back into the studio with seventeen of the most tightest hip hop tracks. With the help of the Lord, the band wrote/produced their current album, The Standard, soon to be let loosed to impact not only the hip hop community, but the world for Christ.
