Dave Isaacs has been called "a master musician" and "a natural-born storyteller". His virtuoso abilities as a guitarist are anchored by finely developed songcraft, a classically-trained musician''s melodic sense, and a jazzman''s improvisational spirit.
Recorded at VuDu Studio in Freeport, NY with veteran engineer Bob Stander at the board and playing bass, Flying features ten Isaacs compositions performed on a collection of Parker Fly guitars. From the Wes Montgomery-inspired "Front Porch Swing" to the ambient poetry of "Sunrise" to the spaghetti-western-on steroids tribute "The Lonesome Gunslinger Saves The Day", Isaacs'' stylistic range and command are evident throughout. Five tracks feature journeyman drummer Steve Holley, best known for his work with Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Joe Cocker.
