Details:
My name is Dale J. Moore. Ten years ago after a tragic shooting and
the loss the loss of a brother, my life started into a downward spin
at the end of my ropes and no where to turn, I remembered the words
of a friend some ten years earlier who said, "Dale, if you are ever
down and out, call out to Jesus." I called out to Jesus that day
and asked for forgiveness of my sins and accepted God''s free gift of
salvation through His Son Jesus. My life took a 180 degree turn and
started a brand new life with the spirit of the Lord living inside
my heart.
About one and a half years after being saved from eternal separation
from my Heavenly Father, I wanted to serve God with all my heart.
and be a good steward over the gifts that I possessed as a
carpenter. I started each day for the next few years telling God
what I could do for Him.
I was walking through the local fairgrounds and I heard some music
coming from inside a yellow and white tent. As I walked to the
tent, I ducked my head below the white fringe, the music stopped and
the woman behind the microphone looked directly at me and said,
"It''s your availability God wants, not your ability." The hair on
my neck stood up. I told God that from this day on, I would be
available for His work, not mine!
God impressed the word SING on my heart. Well, being a carpenter
and not a singer, I thought maybe we had a bad connection, but sure
enough, He meant sing. And I did just that. I pulled out the only
Christian song I had, "Home Free" by Wayne Watson. I sang that song
to and from work for three years. Starting to get discouraged while
waiting at a stop light, I asked God what the purpose was for this
singing and questioned if I should continue. Immediately, my
attention was focused on the license plate in front of me, which
read PSLM33. Psalm:33 Sing joyfully unto the Lord. You righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. WOW, another hair
raiser!
I continued to sing and for the next year, God revealed to me the
plan to give my personal testimony along with two more songs by
Wayne Watson. My pastor and I set a date for a small
concert/testimony. The turn out was great - more than 250 friends
and family memmbers attended our small church of about 70. Both
friends and family gave their lives to Christ that day.
I continued to cover other artist songs on a monthly basis. I
satrted to feel the need to express my own feelings through song, so
I again started to wait on God.
After witnessing to my dad, I realized that I could not save him or
anyone else. It was truly a matter of the heart. The next morning,
in my quiet time, God gave me the words and the melody for this
song, Matter of the Heart, not being a song writer or a musician, I
was again left to wait on God. But God is faithful! He started to
place many talented musicians into my life. God also gave me the
opportunity to use my gifts as a carpenter to build a
state-of-the-art recording studio for a dear friend. The song
project in all took about two years.
Recently, the song was entered into a Christian talent search called
C.A.T.S. The song didn''t win the prize, a recording contract, but
placed high as a regional finalist.
Since then, I have been able to complete another song. "He Can".
The first track on this CD. I was inspired by the spirit of the
Lord to write a song that explained God''s simple plan for salvation.
Confess, Believe, receive.
My will for these songs is not to win record label contracts or gain
in public popularity, but that my heavenly Father would use these
songs to win souls and that His Son Jesus would gain in public
popularity.
My hope is that God will use theses songs as a reminder to
Christians to continue to pray for their unsaved loved ones and to
preach to the perishing. God''s simple plan for salvation.
