"Once in a while, a musician decides to look at his art from a new perspective and creates a masterpiece in the process. Patrick DeCoste is one of those musicians, bringing a new outlook on music and instrumental rock guitar..." - https://www.tradebit.com (USA)
"Full of beautiful compositions of inspiration and feeling, DeCoste promises an excellent festival of melodic compositions with great quality and technical themes. This new guitarist of Rock is an extremely original guitarist that intends to give a new meaning to instrumental rock guitar." - Guitar Lords: The Online Source for Guitarists (Mexico)
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Patrick DeCoste (pronounced "d-coast") has been making a name for himself not only on the instrumental guitar circuit but also on the global music scene. He has shared the stage with the likes of Joe Stump (considered by many as the most "extreme shred guitarist in the world") and Brian McKnight music director, Chris Loftlin, as well as other national recording acts.
After a year of taking lessons at a local music store, DeCoste studied at the Boston Conservatory of Music's Summer Institute. A year later, he went on to receive full-tuition scholarships to Berklee's year-round SYSTEM 5 program and their prestigious 5 Week Summer Program while also attending their Summer Guitar Sessions. Today, several of his music columns have been published on various websites and e-zines and he is also currently endorsed by Ernie Ball.
Since becoming a solo artist in 2003, DeCoste's music has been ranked as high as #1 in the "Guitar Rock" category of https://www.tradebit.com's Massachusetts charts and #13 in the "Instrumental Rock" category of https://www.tradebit.com's Global charts. His instrumental, "Greasy Fingers", was named the #5 instrumental of 2003 by a European AOR website and his music has been showcased at various sporting events. His debut album, "Inside The Unsaid", has been released to much acclaim and is currently available via independent distribution.
"This is instrumental guitar music at its best with technically brilliant performances and mature songwriting..."- https://www.tradebit.com (Germany)
"Even though the album is an independent release, the packaging is perfect, tasty and professional and the music is even better. Recommended to fans of instrumental guitar music and not only to them, as it is easy-to-digest, catchy stuff." - https://www.tradebit.com (Germany)
"For several years, Patrick DeCoste has cultivated a fanatical fanbase in the Boston area. It's easy to see why when the instrumentalist's flashy fingers set the fretboard ablaze. With praise high and a local buzz building, DeCoste released 'Inside The Unsaid', a high-flying guitar odyssey propelling him towards comparisons with legends Joe Satriani and Steve Vai..." - Insite Magazine (USA)
"Patrick released a demo CD last year just to tease us with its few tracks of unsurpassed musicality. Here's his debut album. The thing that makes it great is Patrick's impeccable sense of composition. You never get bored listening to this CD, and you never feel like you've heard it before... He has chops enough to impress the noodle-fans, but beyond that he has taste and restraint." - FretNet Radio (Australia)
"Patrick DeCoste is very rooted in Rock music. He has a great ear for chord voicings and progressions, as well as solos and melodies, and has a firm grasp of how to structure songs..." - The Noise: Rock Around Boston Magazine (USA)
"What is apparent in this work is that Patrick is armed with a superb set of hands, good control and an ear for melody that never plays second fiddle to guitar excess..." - https://www.tradebit.com (United Kingdom)
"This kid is good. Whether you're a fan of instrumental music or not, you have to admit this guy knows his instrument. DeCoste can tell a story without once uttering a single word. His styles are varied from Pink Floyd influence to more groove-rock oriented songs with Van Halen-esque soloing. DeCoste is definitely someone to keep an eye out for." - Louder Magazine (USA)
