David J. Hudson
He was born on June 8, 1967 in Birmingham, Alabama. As a child, he grew up in Avondale Projects in Birmingham. His family lived in public housing for thirteen years before moving into a house of their own. He's the ninth of thirteen children and the first in the family to receive a college degree. He graduated from Whatley Elementary School in 1981 and Phillips High School in 1985. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army for four years. In the U.S. Army, he had the opportunity to tour the Republic of South Korea and the former West Germany. He considers his tenure in the military an invaluable experience that he'll treasure the rest of his life.
After departing from the military in June of 1989, he immediately enrolled in night school while maintaining a full time job. He discovered his talent for writing poetry in March of 1992 while completing a stressful quarter at Birmingham-Southern College and working a full-time job at The Birmingham-Housing Authority. At one point he wrote forty poems within a two-week period. Being a person of action, after graduating from college in March of 1993, he self-published his own book of poetry entitled "The Start of Something New. "
"My focus is to bring an inspiring and positive message to those who come in contact with my poetry."
He recites poetry and gives positive pep talks to youth, different groups and organizations when invited to do so. It is David's goal to touch every person he can with his poetry and hopefully inspire them to fulfill their dreams and to never settle for less. He believes that his poetry has the potential to inspire millions. The time is ripe!
In 1998, he published his second book of inspirational poetry entitled " When A Dream Comes True. "
Relocated to Atlanta, GA in 1998.
In 1999, he developed an inspirational and motivational web site https://www.tradebit.com. He also opened the doors to TVB, Think Very BIG. He came up with the words "Think Very BIG," because it's the way he thinks in life. He wants everyone to have big dreams, big ideas, set goals etc. On the web site you can read inspiring poems written solely by David J. Hudson and order a nicely framed poster.
He also sells motivational framed and matted posters and plaques to businesses, churches, schools and individuals alike. Everyone can use some inspiration sometimes, including myself, he says.
David J. Hudson founded TVB, Think Very BIG, Inc. in September of 2000. Prior to that, David served as a Production Supervisor at Qualex, Inc. for nearly three and one-half years. Smith and David spent several hours a week working on the music and selecting the right poem for the track and so you have "Love & Inspiration" produced by Patricia A. Smith and David J. Hudson.
