Heart pounding, palms sweaty, Llaryn looked first right then left before activating the door to the medical and procedure lab and going inside. The door slid shut behind her and she breathed a sigh of relief. Paladin hadnt actually forbidden her from going to the med-lab or from healing but she knew that was his intention. He saw healing as dangerous to her and he didnt want her doing it.

She lifted her chin and walked farther into the clinic, her unbound hair swaying around her to her hips. Healing Genae Galaran, the ex-Presidents daughter, had happened under such stressful circumstances and it hadnt been planned. Shed expected to die and shed held nothing back when she connected to the other woman.
