Details:
Darick L. Rutley

On August 5, 1981 Darick LaMont Rutley was born in Pontiac, MI. The second oldest of five boys, Darick and his brothers were raised with very strong Christian family values. His parents, Elder Rosezell and Darafela Rutley, raised them in the church and taught them the importance of establishing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at an early age.
Daricks'' family has strong musical roots. His grandfather was a drummer who had his own jazz ensemble, His cousin is a professional drummer who has traveled the world, and both parents sing and play wind instruments. Therefore, Daricks'' passion for music and singing came as no surprise to his parents. Darick was influenced by The Winans, Commissioned, John P. Kee, Marvin Sapp, and many others. His father was and is his biggest influence in life. “He is my example of what a Godly man should be!”
At age 16 his minister of music prophesied that he would write songs. One year later God Blessed him with two “Speak to Me Lord” and “Place of Praise”. Every since then he has been a student of music ministry.
At the age of 21 Darick accepted his call to the ministry. It came at a time when he recognized the excitement he had for the word of God, and the desire to tell others about it. Darick has always been told that he is wise beyond his years. He is often affectionately called “The Young Old Man”.

Darick firmly believes that we as Christians must never compromise our values and beliefs. "We must live for God not for man". His number one goal as a minister of music is to win souls for Christ.

Darick is married to Stephanie and has two children, Madisen Channel and Taylor McKenzie.

“I am thankful that God blessed me with the gift of song. However, I am even more thankful that God called me into ministry."
