MLP, or The Matt Lloyd Project, started out as an outlet and side project for Matt Lloyd to give a title to demo’s he would record in his spare time between playing with other bands. It was very evident though after a short time and a few shows that this infectious style of upbeat guitar driven pop/rock would have to be more then a spare time deal. As well, he wanted MLP to have a message of hope for this generation that he could front through a new band and hope to make a difference. Soon Matt recruited fellow musicians, Clark Hubbard (drums) and Nic Byron (bass) to turn this effort into a complete band going full force. Now only less than a year into existence as the band, MLP, are making waves and getting people talking from their energetic live shows, their melodic hooks, and their screaming guitars. They just released their debut EP titled, “You Against Yourself” in late November 2007. They are currently based outside of Indianapolis in Anderson, Indiana, and quickly taking Indiana and the Midwest by storm.
