Chris Bawiec''s earliest musical memories growing up in Arkansas, were of chills and an overwhelming feeling that came to him while listening to his grandfather''s jazz band practicing. Chris'' grandfather, "Red" Gipson, passed away in 1976 at his drumset just prior to a live performance with his band. "Red" wouldn''t have wanted it any other way! "Red" passed on his sense of purpose and passion for music to Chris.

At age 12, Bawiec began playing drums. Seeking a more melodic approach, he later picked up guitar and bass. Bawiec spent hours every day learning songs note-for-note by Rush, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix and any other guitar-based rock he could find. His high-school rock bands performed at local parties and at high school talent shows.

After high-school, Bawiec assumed the role of singer/frontman for a local rock band that performed often, recorded an original album, and received some airplay on local college radio. When this band disinegrated, Bawiec began writing and recording his own original music. His early projects featured Bawiec on vocals and guitar. This early music was created in the style of southern rock similar to ZZ Top.

During this time period, Chris began a spiritual journey. He studied many eastern and western religions and began to pursue the Toltec concept of impeccability. Bawiec began to meditate on a regular basis. This meditation, study and self-discovery began to express itself in Chris'' music.

Bawiec continued to hone his songwriting skills and develop his own musical style. His music began to take the form of what it is today. Years of writing and recording music and performing live culminated with Bawiec being contacted by legendary record producer/recording engineer Bill Halverson (Eric Clapton, Crosby Stills, Nash & Young, REO Speedwagon). Halverson''s interest in Bawiec''s music was very inspiring. Circumstances at the time would not allow the progression of Bawiec''s musical endeavors with Halverson. It was at this time that Bawiec began to pursue other career paths.

After spending years pursuing these other career paths, it became increasingly clear to Bawiec that the only true purpose for his life was what it had always been: MUSIC! Chris understood that ALL OF LIFE HAPPENS EXACTLY THE WAY IT IS MEANT TO HAPPEN. This was all a part of the journey and the journey is never finished. All of Chris'' life-experiences matured him and made him ready for the current phase of his life. THERE IS NO PAST; THERE IS NO FUTURE; NOW IS THE TIME!!!

Chris Bawiec has returned to music and has released a self-produced CD entitled "Inspired" that is available online and at select retailers throughout the United States. The CD includes ten songs. These are songs that were written by Bawiec over the last twelve years. The songs are a musical biography of Chris'' life and spiritual experiences.

"Inspired" has a classic-rock feel to it featuring Bawiec on vocals and guitar. The music is guitar-oriented with a blend of rock organ. The sound is reminiscent of bands such as The Eagles, Jackson Brown, and Bob Seger. Bawiec''s vocals have a heartfelt quatlity that have been compared to Tom Petty, Don Henley and Joe Walsh.

The music on "Inspired" has received overwhelmingly positive response from listeners in the United States and worldwide. Songs to be included on "Inspired" include "Monday Morning", an anthem about leaving a meaningless life and LIVING YOUR PASSION, Getting There (Is Half the Fun)", which musically expresses the empowering feeling of enjoying the journey, "Connected at the Heart" which is a brand new radio oriented song about the kind of connection that gives spice to life. "The Voice (Point Number Three)" speaks to the us at an intuitive level about the laws of attraction and the power of positive INTENT. Bawiec expresses the feeling we get when the stress of daily life becomes overwhelming in the song "Living in Zen". "Concrete, Earth, and Trees" takes an introspective look at the nature of life. The CD is completed with an older song, "Candles" and is finished off with Bawiec''s hypnotic version of "Amazing Grace". As a bonus, an extended version of "Pride" with a twenty-one-gun salute is included on the CD.
