D. Watts is a female singer/songwriter based in Birmingham,
Alabama, home of a burgeoning music scene spearheaded by the recent major label signings of Moses Mayfield, Michael Warren, Lynam, Elliot Morris, and Bo Bice. After performing in cover bands for several years, she teamed up with musician/producer Ben Trexel to write and record her debut album. It was decided that there would be no timetable; only when they were totally happy with each song and recording would the album be released to the public. After eight months of writing and recording at Workplay Studios in Birmingham, the album was complete and proudly released in July, 2005. The music that came forth from this collaboration has many different textures and hues ranging from soulful alternative acoustic to raging hard rock.
