Dekiquhu Productions consists of a father and two daughter trio writing and production team, Hura Hill, Kiana Hill, & Qura Hill. The goal of this production team is to write and create meaningful music that provides inspiration to artists and listeners alike. Hura Hill is the founder and CEO of Dekiquhu Productions. He is also the executive producer, plays the keyboard and writes lyrics. Kiana Hill is a co-producer, writer, and vocal arranger. She also plays bass guitar and sings. Qura Hill is a writer, vocal arranger, and co-producer who also sings. Together this trio is a soulful blend of jazz, gospel, hip-hop, and neo-soul music.
Hura Hill has been involved in music for most of his life. As a self-taught musician he began to create his own unique sound. With musical influence from Earth, Wind & Fire, George Duke to Stevie Wonder and Sly & The Family Stone, the sound that he creates gives the listeners a variety flavor to choose from. Hura began sharing his gift with a local gospel group, Zephaniah, as he wrote and produced songs for them to sing. Later he branched out to learn about music production. As his interest and knowledge increased, Hura built an in home studio where he was able to hone his skills as a producer. As of today, Hura now has a library of his own original music, has played keyboard for several singing groups, and has written and produced for local artists such as jazz singer Laticia Carrington, R&B singer Cedric Clark ,No Skillz, and Hip Hop group Black ‘n’ Attack.
Kiana Hill was born to Hura and Denise Hill and raised in Southern California. Music has always had a major presence in her life. Soul, jazz, hip-hop, funk, and gospel are the styles she loves most. Kiana’s musical influence comes from her parents. Her father introduced her to jazz music and funk music with various artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Sly & the Family Stone and The Ohio Players. As a teen, Kiana sang in the church youth choir and did studio work for various artists whose styles ranged from gospel to Latin jazz. Kiana now resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She continues to sharpen her skills in songwriting, bass guitar, singing and vocal arrangements. She has also worked with various local artists including EMDEE, Just One, Jeremiah and Phillipia, and currently sings with the choir at Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church in Marietta, Georgia. She looks forward to gaining more experience and knowledge as a vocalist and musician.
Also born to Hura and Denise Hill, Qura Hill loved growing up in Southern California where her musical interests began, were nurtured, and defined. Now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Qura’s family, life experiences and inspiration continues to give her a reason to write. Also at a young age in California, Qura was surrounded by musical sounds from the piano, keyboards, drums, and guitars. Besides her parents, most of her musical influences come from exposure to great artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, The Clark Sisters, The Winans, Anita Baker, and many jazz artists just to name a few. Qura began playing the piano and the flute at an early age. Music continued to follow her as she sang with the local church youth choir and wrote songs for several singing groups that she was involved in. Qura is continuously working on her craft of songwriting and is also submitting her work for songwriting workshops, seminars, and contests.
Currently, Dekiquhu Productions is developing new material for upcoming projects. They are also placing work on several publication websites such as https://www.tradebit.com and https://www.tradebit.com. Dekiquhu Productions continue to move ahead as they create meaningful music that provides inspiration to artists and listeners alike.
