Robin Wiley''s eagerly awaited album, "Somethin'' bout Love" is now available!
Robin met two-time Grammy Nominee Frankie Fuchs at the set of
“Aint Got No Home,” a PBS Special highlighting Woody Guthrie''s life.
Portraying Lefty Lou on the "American Masters” series, Robin gained
great insight and appreciation for Woody''s music and began performing and revamping numerous Woody Guthrie songs with Frankie, as well as developing their own original material together, culminating in Robin’s debut album.
After fronting Super Dream Pill and Third Language, Robin signed
a development deal with Sony and moved from Austin to NYC, where she
worked with some of the top producers and musicians in the industry.
Represented by George Stein (Jeff Buckley''s Manager), Robin became a highly sought vocalist, arranger and writer. She fronted Gary Lucas/Jeff Buckley''s band “Gods & Monsters” and opened for Jerry Garcia''s, “Ratdog,” KD Lang, and Spin Doctors. She also worked and performed with Nelson Norwood (Stevie Ray''s "Double Trouble " rhythm section), and was offered a position to sing back-up with the Eagles.
In LA, Robin presently is working and collaborating with Frankie Fuchs,
Ted Kamp (Shooter Jennings Band), Taras Prodaniuk (Dwight Yoakum, Lucinda Williams), Carl Byron (Michelle Shocked, Anne McCue), Jim Christie (Dwight Yoakum, Lucinda Williams), George Clinton''s Production Company, The Middle Class, Scott Detweiller, VAVV Records, Cori Jacobs (Beyonce) to name a few...Utilizing all of her talents, Robin also has numerous National Jingles and Voice-Overs to her name and has appeared as an actress several times on "Jimmel Kimmel Live," "Sarah Silverman," and "Ghost Whispers."
