MP3 Tim LaLonde - All Along
Pedal steels, banjos, and fiddles, OH MY. Staying true to the classic country sound, but never quite fitting in, this awkward teenager has grown up and is trying to drink some clear, cool water.
5 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Americana, COUNTRY: Country Folk
Details:
All Along had to come out. The old country gods of yesterday were lurking and knocking somewhere deep inside.
It makes no references to drinkin'' or cheatin'', but the sentiment holds true none the less. Tales of hope and heartbreak all referenced between lines of adoration for one’s country heros, losing the deal and then selling your truck, and weekly meetings in the afternoon.
Sprouting from the northern land of Eureka, California, LaLonde has set forth on a tale of country music servitude amidst a jungle of serendipity: problems, people, and the eternal love of music.
After smelling the hops in Chico for a bit, getting his learn on down at Franky’s Kitchen, he decided it was absolutely time for a change. That is how he met the banjo, Perle. And that is why he lives in Los Angeles today.
Shying away from record labels, this album was written and produced exclusively by Tim LaLonde with the help of some fine bow fiddlin'' and pedal steelin'' by Stephanie Bettman and Sean Caffey. What beholds is a sonic feast of well recorded and performed tunes, while tightly conceived improvisations linger throughout.
The “main men” Jacob Morgan and Michael Wachs hold down the tempo and rhythm section with crisp perfection, while the ever present acoustic guitar picks and bends and generally smokes. Let us not forget the immortal Telecaster whose name whines and moans throughout, offering up tales of a forgotten time.
The vocals are a steeped in 1942 era blues, old-time, and traditional bluegrass harmonies. The cherry on top is the modern mix of only the finest analog gear and vintage mics, handled with care, and presented, in stereo, for your listening pleasure.
