The debut Aftergrass CD embodies the dirty, reckless and often drunken magic that makes a small Colorado ski-town. The band would rather ride the mountain than play, but they of course do both. Frequenting ski towns across the inner-mountain west, Aftergrass has been rockin'' ski bars since 2003. The Durango Herald described the debut album as "a lush collection of music styles" which include but are not limited to rock, funk, pop and psychedelic breakfast cereal. Songs like "What''s Inside", "Tour De Shack" and "Mind and I" are funky, groove oriented songs, while songs like "Let It Dry" and "Shoot The Bottle" are experiments into the realms of ambient folk. Other styles heard include rockabillygrass, pyschopop, and hippymetal. Track 2 is a cover of Sand Sheff''s "Wet Dog". In case you haven''t heard of Sand Sheff, check him out here on CD Baby.
