Omar was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1983. He started rapping under the name Capital OG at the age of 13 after becoming inspired by hip hop icons like 2pac, Outkast, Dr Dre and Timberland in 1997 and has been producing since 1999.
Capital OG has performed as a rapper, dancer, and actor in various places, one of which was the world''s famous Apollo Theatre. The drive that motivates him from one accomplishment to the next is none other than God himself.
Positive and versatile are two of the many strong words that describe this young man. He strongly believes that he would not be able to succeed or do anything if God was not the center of his life; Capital OG has produced The Next Best Thing Vol. 1 and A New Beginning. He has been featured on the young gunners mix tape Vol. 1 and KIN 4 Life the album. His solo album Something Serious will change the way you listen to music. Capital is currently working on The Next Best Thing Vol. 2, Capital OG mix tape and an album for the duo Trend Settaz.
