Elsewhere Bio''s
Chad Elliott:
I was saved at the age of sixteen at Super Wow on July 12,th 1996 where I made Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of my life. During my freshmen year of college I accepted a call from the Lord into full-time ministry, and there I began to play guitar. The Lord opened up huge doors for me to be involved with leading worship almost instantly.
I had been leading worship for six years at youth camps and churches and felt a call on my life to lead God''s people into true authentic worship. I have a degree in Christian Ministries from Shorter College and will pursue a master''s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary extension in Atlanta. I have served on various ministry teams through out my college career such as one year as a Camp Councilor at Camp Winshape, 2 years on staff at Super Wow as the Missions Coordinator and as the Staff Coordinator and two years as a Youth Minister at First Baptist Waleska.
I Have been married for a year (& counting) to Christie Elliott and we live in Holly Springs, Ga.
Christie Elliott:
I gave my life to the Lord at age 9, having been raised in a loving, Christian home. I accepted the call to a life of ministry during my senior year of high school without having any clue as to where it would bring me. I have been involved in music all through my life, beginning piano lessons at age four and staying involved in some form of music all through my life. I was interested in all types of music and any way of serving the Lord except leading worship in a band; I was scared. God had to break me and mold me to bring me to obedience.
It has been in the past two years that God has given me an overwhelming passion for leading worship. He is so faithful to me. My prayer for this ministry is that God will use those of us involved with Elsewhere to channel people into God, so that they will look at Him and begin to seek His salvation, love, and plan for their lives.
Dan Brothers:
I was saved when I was young. Around five or six, I remember it was Father''s Day, the Lord had moved in my heart; I followed. He used people, mainly my parents, to bring music into my life. My father, as far as I can remember, always played music around and that is where my love for music birthed. The Lord moved my family to Cherokee County and then into a church youth ministry under the direction of J.T. Turner. Through God''s direction from my parents, J.T. Turner and through the life of my friend, Brian Johnson, the Lord harvested my passion and desire for worship.
Jimmy:
Began musical training on piano and trumpet at an early age. As a 13 year old, he picked up a guitar and life changed. From acoustic folk to rock and bluegrass gospel to R & B his musical preferences are as wide as his 3 octave range. His musical influences include U2, Rush, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Four Tops, Willie Nelson and Caedmon''s Call. His goal is for each person to seize the opportunities that God lays before them.
Sam Darden:
I was saved at a young age; God gave me an understanding of what salvation was and I accepted His free gift. I began to play bass guitar when I was sixteen years old. I had started running sound for the praise band at my church and soon after I began to play with them. I have been leading worship in various churches and bands ever since.
Through Elsewhere, I want to see lives changed positively and to see the band members grow spiritually and become better musicians to glorify the Lord.
