ornaments of the first movement Allegro moderato offer a glimpse at the progressive state of the art of piano manufacture in London in those days, owed to the Broadwood manufacture, by playfully integrating a much more advanced repetition capacity. All together the work is of an amazingly charming quality, and, conceived in a rather eventful phase of the composers life, lends itself as an ideal complement to any classical-romantically oriented performance.
