Elmore McCoy Jr. "Moe" has a wife (Sharleina) and three wonderful children (Jaylin, Malone, and Aiyana). Moe was raised in church, but at a young age he chose to do it the hard way. he moved out of his mom ''s house at 17 years old. Life showed Moe a thing or two. Moe started rapping in 1989, he wouldn''t curse in his raps at first, but after a while he said forget it. After a while he became a thug, dabbling in drugs and alcohol. He almost lost his life. That day he sent a man of God to give him a word and then accepted Jesus Christ in his life. At this time he started to attend a church. His pastor then asked him to rap a dong for the Lord. Moe questioned, "what would it be like to rap for the Lord?" After struggling with this for a few days and God said to him do the same thing you were doing but "Speak Life". (Proverbs 18:21 says Death and Life are in the power of the tongue). Shortly after that Moe recorded his first solo Album "Speak Life". Speak Life is the Ministry God gave him. For so long Moe rapped about everything but God. The Lord has enlightened him, that what he was saying meant absolutely nothing. The kind of rap he was doing was not helping himself or anyone else. The Lord led Moe to change what he was saying and who he was talking to. The message makes the difference. Start asking yourself " What am I saying?" Now when Moe raps he solely raps about Jesus and Speaks Life and is storing things up in heaven. Moe raps with a purpose and his focus is to glorify the Lord in rap and spread the gospel far and wide. Moe attends church in Grand Rapids, MI where he was born and raised and still resides.
