“Hang up your stilettos, sell your house and dance barefoot in the mud” was the message Jo got when she honoured her calling to write her debut album “Letting Love In”.
After an abundant and colourful 20 year music career playing cabaret, jazz clubs and band circuits in Asia and Australia, performing with such luminaries as Iva Davies (Icehouse) and James Morrison, Jo had to come back to earth and back to herself to find inspiration for her songs.
Her sequins and feathers went into the dress up box, the dance poles, stages and catwalks morphed into trees, headlands and forest trails. Jo left the city life behind and went bush. Australia’s Northern Beaches, Daintree, Kakadu, Himalayas, Hanging Rock, rainforest, river, earth, spirit and heart.
“This album is my dream … my dream come true. It is about the trails I’ve walked. The inner, outer and mysterious journeys, blessed with the beautiful spirit of life.
