Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, has sold over 70 million copies since its publication during the massive American Depression of the early 20th century. Over the decades that it has been in circulation its message always seems as appropriate in each succeeding year as it did in 1937.
The book was inspired by Andrew Carnegie, the Bill Gates of his day. Carnegie spent his early years amassing a fortune, and the rest of his life giving it away. He donated about $350 million to charity - some 90 per cent of his fortune. In terms of 2015 dollars, his generosity amounts to almost FIVE BILLION DOLLARS!
The title of the work is Think and Grow Rich, and indeed if you discern the secret that Mr. Hill hopes you will find in the book, you may well get rich. But there is also another richness in his meaning - the wealth of mind, bank account and body all in harmony.
