Details:
Soulever Lift was formed by vocalist Yendor Reese and guitarist Mark Lettieri in Fort Worth, TX in the Spring of 2005. They started as an acoustic duo, and soon grew to a four-piece adding bassist Cole Davis and drummer John Sargent in 2006. Fusing hard rock with soul and gospel, they bring a fresh, new vibe to the Fort Worth scene.
After just a year-and-a-half of jamming in Sargent''s father''s church, Soulever Lift has created a sound that is instantly recognizable. Reese''s unique voice is the result of blending formal classical training with a gospel music upbringing. Lettieri''s guitar playing has established him as an in-demand session musician in the D/FW area. The rhythm section of Davis and Sargent is the bedrock of the bands sound; a solid, yet fluid force that keeps both brains and booties in motion.
Taking the Metroplex by storm, the have built a steady (and wildly energetic) following. Their debut album is poised to make believers out of plenty more.
"Soulever Lift''s singular sound is complex, crazy and cosmopolitan"..."the only place in the world you will ever see a band completely freaking out onstage, with some fans doing the Harlem Shuffle while others are playing mean licks on air guitar. You, too, dear reader, will be sure to get down in your own special way."
