Details:
Wanting the variety of a later Beatles record -- think Abbey Road, but with an earthy surf garage and folk vibe, Retro Americana started out as just a collection of acoustic
tracks, one 60''s single throwback, and a soaring retro throwback to Derek and the D''s. Guitars are both funky and tight -- tones and feel recall Dylan, Eddie VH, Mott the Hoople, and classic 60''s Kinks, Link Ray and maybe a bit of White.
This is intended to be driving music on the long highways of the USA. The sound is retro surf garage -- some tunes dug up from work done 20 years gone by, and shined up a bit. Other tunes are new and shiny. A fine wine of an eclectic recording treat.
Life is like a lava lamp – random, but contained. What were once shortcomings are now SGV trademark.
