Tropical Flavor has been making music in Charlotte and the surrounding area for over seven years. The band is unusual in that it consists of steel drums (steel pans) coupled with conventional instruments such as guitar, bass and keyboards.
The band chose the name Tropical Flavor because they want to be whatever your taste calls for. Everywhere they go crowds are amazed at their ability to perform many genres of music including world, reggae, jazz, latin, beach - even country if you like!
This is the band''s second CD following successful distribution of their debut CD, Island Christmas. The band wanted this CD to inspire the perfect vacation. Imagine yourself on a ''Tropical Vacation'' to some exotic locale. After ''Crossing the Border'' into your vacation dreamland you relax by taking a ''Sweet Siesta'' before visiting the local ''Marketplace''. And though you might miss seeing that famous girl from Ipanema you might run into a beautiful girl named ''Kabria'' in the Hawaiian Islands.
