MP3 Escape Route - My Parade

ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Emo
After impressing the crowd at Sydney''s Bar Broadway while supporting the Music-Oz award winners, The Kindergarten Experiment in late 2003, Escape Route have built a solid and dedicated fanbase that extends well beyond the reaches of their Sutherland Shire origins.
Escape Route''s desire for the live arena has lead them to play alongside Australia''s best including Full Scale, Japunga, Kid Courageous and In The Grey. These support slots have complimented the band''s ever growing string of successful headlining shows, the first of which occurred when Escape Route headlined at Sydney''s historic Hopetoun Hotel after only 4 months of live experience!
Escape Route''s unique sound is one that cannot easily be pigeon-holed. Combining driving riffs, a powerful and thought inspiring rhythm section and a vocalist with the (all too rare these days) talent of being able to take his audience on an real emotional journey, give Escape Route the distinct advantage of presenting their audience with an event to remember rather than simply a performance to watch.
Fusing the melodic influences of Linkin Park and Hoobastank with the rhythmic ferocity of KoRn and The Deftones, Escape Route provide their fans with an intensity, elegance and power that''s seldom taken to its full potential by many others in the scene. Catering for rock and pop fans alike, the sensory experience felt whilst in attendance at an Escape Route gig may even be described as ''beautifully chaotic''.
After a series of shows to promote their demo CD "Mirrors" Escape Route concentrated on recording their debut EP "My Parade". The 5 track preview of what this band has to offer has sold consistently well at all their shows, with demand spreading far beyond the physical reach of the band themselves.
To cap off a whirlwind year the band toured the east coast of Australia for the first time, including Newcastle and Brisbane. With this tour under their belt and a continually expanding repertoire of both audio and visual talents, Escape Route is a band that will no doubt see great things in 2005. Youth, talent and an eagerness to cement their position as a driving force in Australian music will see to that.
To put it simply; they are not a metal band, they are not a pop band, they are not a rock band........ they are Escape Route.
