Well written, emotional short story of a young woman who returns to her home town for her mother's death after she was run out nearly 10 years before. I would have given this 4 stars, but I couldn't force myself to like J.W. Dalton, the sheriff and love interest, after he was so quick to believe that the love of his life was really a hussy. I think if the story were expanded I would have had a different perception, I'm sure. I felt really badly for Willow, who suffered so much. She's a better woman than I, for forgiving so easily.
