Singer / Songwriter / Multi-Instrumentalist Rick "Noodles" Horvath is one of the busiest musicians around the New York area. Noodles, as he is affectionately known, has been a familiar staple on the Long Island New York music circuit since his teens. He was a founding member of Sorethumb, a band still performing today which he sometimes sit in with.
Noodles has developed quite an extensive musical vocabulary. His original material covers many different styles and Noodles explains why. "I was never one to follow the latest trends, especially since most performers have such short lived careers. Plus the industry is always changing - noone has any idea what’s good or bad anymore! They''ve put too many inexperienced people in charge of companies who don''t know what good music is. I''ve always followed my gut - whatever style comes to me is what I pursue."
Noodles performs solo acoustic and one-man band shows around the area promoting his new CD “Mango & Lime Fiesta” released in August of 2005 on OGWA Music. The CD contains a collection of sing-along, fun Jimmy Buffett style songs and is a favorite among parrotheads.
Look for his new release ''Coming Home'' due out in 2007
