Mandorico is a six-piece, Atlanta-based powerhouse of punky reggae, hip-hop, rock, latin and funk. For almost a decade now these boys have toured the Midwest and East Coast of the U.S. in addition to garnering radio and club spins in South America, Europe and Mexico. With well over a thousand live shows under their collective belts these guys have honed one of the best and most praised live concerts around. On the recording end of things Mandorico is slated to release their much anticipated 4th studio album this fall entitled "Strong Fire" to build upon the already impressive 30,000 copies of sales from previous independent releases.
Throughout their touring career, Mandorico has been invited to participate in almost every major musical event that the east coast has to offer including Music Midtown in Atlanta, Belle Chere in Asheville, City Stages in Birmingham, Musikfest in Bethlehem, Mid-X Music Festival in WV, and countless others. On the club scene they have shared the stage with various national and international acts including the late Tito Puente, The Wailers, Celia Cruz, Smashmouth, UB40, Foo-Fighters, Toots and the Maytals, and Ozomatli to name a few. In addition, Mandorico has made a number of major network television appearances as well as having their music showcased on MTV''s Real World and Road Rules and The Today Show with Katie Couric
Mandorico''s "wall of sound" is made up of horns, percussion, loud guitars and multiple vocals smashing together urban rock, reggae, latin and punk yielding an incomparable musical monster. In a world where alternative has become mainstream Mandorico continues to push the envelope and redefine "groundbreaking" which is no more evident than in a sweat-drenched, stage-bouncing, back-flipping live concert. For those yet to see them throw down up close and personal - it is a performance against which all others will soon be compared.
* "If the Buena Vista Social Club went to Cancun for spring break and lived entirely on Red Bull and vodka for a week, they might start to sound something like Mandorico. The Atlanta-based party-starters bring together a combination of styles that would be considered loco if it weren''t so much fun. Latin, punk, hip-hop, Afro-Cuban, reggae, and rock are all fair game in Mandorico''s mongrel music".-- https://www.tradebit.com
* ". . . Mandorico is anything but laid-back. Friday, they were a fantastic, all-devouring, remorseless percussive monster".--Creative Loafing/Atlanta, GA
* "Atlanta ska-rockers Mandorico make a triumphant return to The Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh. Their bouncy brand of Rock en Espanol is universally palatable in the best sense--infectiously danceable with a positive aura you can feel . . .they incorporate every hybridized beat from here to Aztlan, a musical journey which winds scenically through Kingston, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Veracruz and East L.A. You won''t need a map to get your groove on, but it is like vacationing at a youth hostel--a cheap vacation where you never know what hep kiddies you''ll meet". --Sylvia Pfeiffenberger/The Independent
* "When Afro-Cuban rock band Mandorico took the stage at One Love the assembly of partygoers was more than ready for the acclaimed, salsa-styled vibes, and they proved their satisfaction by dancing from the beginning chord of the first song to the end of the last. The joyous audience crowded close to the stage, filling up the entire dance area as if to say they had been deprived of actual instruments and Caribbean rhythms in their dance music for long enough" -- Scott Toothman/Athens Flagpole
* "Mandorico, the hot reggae-rock band from Atlanta, hit the stage at 9 and it was time for some serious booty shaking. The entire crowd was on it''s feet begging for the next song to rock through the room yet desperately needing to breathe and take in all that was just thrown at them from the stage with the previous onslaught. All the while, Mandorico was merciless and persistent in their assault on the happy concert goers of the Steel City". -- Jean Horne THE TRIBUNE-REVIEW/Pittsburg, PA
* "Mandorico takes rock, reggae, Latin and punk music, smashes them all together, and throws the flaming ball of fire right into the audience".-- Herald-Journal, Spartanburg
* "Atlanta-based septet Mandorico melds dance-inducing musical genres, primarily salsa and ska, into a party-starting concoction that makes sitting still an iffy proposition". --Atlanta Journal Constitution
