Valarie gives the glory to God as being the ultimate author of the songs she writes and performs. Upon deciding to go forward with her first recording, the inspiration came instantly. Valarie would find herself at the piano with pen and paper in hand jotting down every word and note as they flowed from within.
At an early age, her love for music became evident as she developed her musical ability while participating in both church and school choirs. For a short time, she explored learning to play musical instruments such as clarinet, piano and organ. She has served in her church as worship team member and leader. All of these experiences helped to shape and prepare Valarie for the role she is now enjoying.
