Steven Ferguson
All songs written or co-written by Steven Ferguson

Playing mainly in Colorado and Hawaii, most of these songs were written in the mid to later 70's in Hawaii on a four track reel-to-reel recorder, but came to life in 1987 when Steven went into the studio then entered 2 songs in the Colorado Songwriter's Festival. "Colorado Canyon Song" placed #4 and "Whiskey" placed #8. The next year, 1988, Steven entered "Morning Glory" and placed #3. Three in the top 10 out of 100's of songs entered was not a bad start to test Steven's original material. "Morning Glory" was also played in the late 80's on Boulder's KBCO's radio show, which featured three local songwriters each week. "She Was A Dancer" placed in the semi finals at number 88.

Steven has spent his time musically playing mainly in Colorado, both full-time and part-time. When stationed in Hawaii in the 70's, Steven played on weekends at the Army Rec Club on Pokai Bay. Living in Hawaii almost 4 years, he entered his song "Hawaiian Girl" in a songwriting contest there, which made it to the finals in the Hawaiian Homegrown Contest.

"MountainBoogie" and "Southwind" are the more recent songs, written in 1999.

"Hot Rod Steven and Dr. Watson" CD is now up and running with CD Baby and "Tower", which is the last full band Steven was a part of, this CD also has all original material on it. Steven is still actively writing and playing.

"Dancin' Upon The Clouds" CD is now for sale at CD Baby! Check it out! A third CD with all original songs most written within the last year.

All Three are on sale at CD Baby for $5.00 each.

Radio ATL, Belgium: To Steven Ferguson: MountainBoogie. "I will give most of your songs airplay on my radio show because you're damned good."
e-mail from: Raymond & Theo "Roots Revival" Belgium

"Family Band", one of the songs on this CD, is featured on Paramount Cafe's CD, "Parapalooza", this is a CD of local original music.

We've got a few songs done for another CD "The MountainBoogie Band" coming out soon. I'm working on this with Don LaFong and Ray Watson. This will be out soon.
