Details:
The third and final release from the award-winning Seattle based Progressive Folk powerhouse, The Puddle Jumpers.

The last remaining retail copies of this CD package were sold at PUDDLE https://www.tradebit.com in March of 2008, but thanks to the folks at CDBABY you can still own a copy of this final Puddle Jumpers release as a digital download only product, PLUS!... As a special offer we are including several previously unreleased PJ demos at no extra charge!

ABOUT THIS ALBUM:
Completed during the difficult break up period of the band in late 2000 through early 2001. Time constraints with the studio and diminished funding limited the band''s ability to complete the entire project as originally planned so several great PJ songs had to be scrapped in mid production and would never see the light of day. The three remaining band members (Vartian, Michael and Short) focused on completing the core 8 songs which the original "What You Needed" project had been based around.

The first 8 tracks contained in this release are the final result, and although this album was shorter in length and did not include the usual perks in packaging that the band was known for, "What You Needed" still managed to become the #1 selling indie album on https://www.tradebit.com for the first three months of its original release.

MORE ABOUT THE BAND:
The Puddle Jumpers were formed in 1995 by Seattle singer/songwriter Rick Vartian. Incorporating the elements of celtic folk, progressive rock and a distinctive vocal harmony reminiscent of CSN, this newly formed band, who would later be named The Puddle Jumpers, were made up of some of the most gifted studio musicians/vocalists in the area at the time.

The group played extensively in the local Seattle area for the next six years, with their live debut performance held at the NW FolkLife Festival in 1996. Playing to a capacity crowd of over 4,000 music fans at Seattle Center (under the Space Needle), the band broke a NW FolkLife sales record for the most CDs sold during a live performance.

The group continued to record and perform until they disbanded in 2001. Although the band is no longer together, the music of The Puddle Jumpers remains just as vibrant and relevant in today''s turbulent world as it was the day it was recorded.
