KEITH FOTI Debut CD: All That Still Remains
INDIE FILM RING ROAD TO FEATURE ALBUM TRACK "OUT OF THIS TOWN"
LOS ANGELES-Singer, songwriter and guitarist Keith Foti makes his solo recording debut with All That Still Remains, an emotion-packed 11-song collection of tough-edged but heart-rendered songs, written, produced and performed by Foti and his band.
Recorded with the assistance of engineer Jon Rustad at the Famous Bakery studios in Hollywood in late 2003 and early 2004, All That Still Remains features Foti''s core players-Nick Snow (bass) and Cary Kane (drums)-while Scott Shriner (bass for Weezer) and Chuck Kentis (organ/keyboards for Rod Stewart) sat in during the sessions.
The evocative lead-off track, "Return to Gray," sets the tone for the album, which is shot through with Foti''s passionate reflections on life''s bittersweet realities-from broken bonds and promises to the hopes, lessons and loves that inspire us to get up each day and do it all over again. "Midnight ramblings, mood swings and roof top visions of hot tar barbecues...I want to let life breathe into my songs," Foti says.
"The Distance Between Us" is a downbeat meditation on the often temporal nature of treasured relationships, while the anthemic "Out of This Town" is set to be featured in Alan Chan''s upcoming independent short film, Ring Road, screening in early 2005.
Foti currently appears in Amazing Grace, the critically-acclaimed documentary film about the late Jeff Buckley.
Keith Foti will be touring the West Coast with his band (which now includes keyboardist Raymond Horwitz), followed by a solo acoustic tour with singer-songwriter Thom Cachon in spring 2005.
