Dan Connolly''s passion for music began at a young age, inspired through harmonizing Irish folk songs with his father and sister. The singer/songwriter was born in Savannah, Georgia and left home at 19 to travel the world. With his only necessities: a backpack and a guitar, Dan traversed the country hitchhiking and then joined the Navy in order to travel the globe. During Dan''s 12 years of service with the Navy as a deep sea diver, he gave his first live performance on an aircraft carrier where he entertained thousands of Naval comrades with his unique, untrained and yet unparalleled vocal style. After leaving the Navy Dan pursued diverse experiences and embraced the unexpected. While traveling in Bogotá, Columbia in 2005 Dan first experienced recording in a studio. The popularity of these initial recordings inspired Dan to share his music. Now, at home in Seattle, Washington Dan has begun work on his first album, expected to be released in May, and is enjoying playing shows with other local musicians.
