This is Karin Inde
Last christmas she moved from Göteborg to Stockholm, with new recordings in her luggage. Her next album “Immune” will be born this spring.
Karin played on her synth and sang the ballads in “POP Hits ‘84 to ‘89” until one day when her classical piano teacher made clear he was to give away her classes to his colleague. Mr Melker Steen was busy with something very suspicious. He was playing the piano by chords (schools are often some years after current trends…). He introduced her to jazz music, recorded “greatest hits-tapes” for her to imitate and learn by heart. Consequently, she became the vocalist in Melkers Svänggäng (Swinging gang) when she was 13. A small big band of 12 young musicians, playing almost every weekend for five years at parties and other occasions with an immense repertoire of 150 tunes.
At the age of 15, Karin Inde was - without exaggeration - a world famous jazzsinger in the entire city of Karlstad. Touring at jazz clubs in the region of Värmland, with Swedish jazz stars such as Berndt Egerblahd, Rune Carlsson, Lars Sjösten and Johnny Olsson.
You can call Karin Inde a real broiler of music education.
During the years at university she recorded her first CD. Karin and the pianist Stefan Wingefors wrote 14 modern jazz ditties in Swedish about orange raincoats, love, swings, fear and an elevator. On the front cover of När som helst (=Whenever) you can also see Stefan’s old Volvo 240. Order it at https://www.tradebit.com, the record, not the Volvo!
After graduation she had to search quite a while to recover the fun in and her love for music.
Her real debut album released in 2001. Short Walk gained attention and some nice reviews in Swedish media at the time of its release. Now, seven years later 2000 CDs are sold. Read more and order it at https://www.tradebit.com!
Immune (Ingrid Sounds, ISCD01)

Karin has written the songs, sings and plays the piano, synt and organ.
Her beloved band is:
Annika Törnqvist, electric bass
Chris Montgomery, drums and percussion
Kristin Lidell, trumpet, accordion and percussion
