THE FRANCHIZE
"Motivation, Dedication is some of the words that will be use to describe this new wave of hip hop/rap music. And representing this new wave will be "The Franchize," a rap group consisting of three rappers from two different places and three different experiences. The Franchize members include James Carpenter known as J-Dope, Cornelius Hester known as Mr.C, and Demetrius Scott known as D-matrix.

The Franchize is a rap group that is unlike any group that as been ever formed, they will bring a new sound and a new element to the hip hop world. Displaying lyrics and experiences of Midwest living.

The group was put together by Cornelius Hester who is also the CEO of Big Toyz Productions the label in which The Franchize is under. Cornelius Hester a.k.a. Mr. C and Demetrius Scott a.k.a. D-Matrix are both from Saginaw, Michigan, and James Carpenter a.k.a. J-Dope is from Toledo, Ohio. Together each one brings their unique sound, style and experiences.

Mr.C and D-Matrix are now living in Defiance, Ohio and has been reunited after knowing and going to high school together in Saginaw, Michigan. J-Dope still lives in Toledo, Ohio. Not even miles can separate the chemistry between this trio.

The Franchize is a rap group that deals with subjects that all people, regardless of gender, color, ethnic or socioeconomic background can enjoy and relate to. Together The Franchize plans to destroy the stereotypes of which the way Rap Music is classified or categorized.


The Franchize debut release is a maxi single entitled "You''ll Luv That," it is a catchy song which monster verses people are loving. The maxi single also includes the personal battles of growing up of each member entitled "A story to tell," featuring the soulful voice of Jennipher Means a Toledo, Ohio native. The maxi single also features
Highly controversial song "Send A Message (9-11-01)," a song about the feelings share by The Franchize after the 9-11 tragedy. The songs are from the highly anticipated album entitled "The Player, The Thug, and The Hustler."
