I started playing guitar when I was ten years old and discovered that it was easier to write and sing my own songs than to try and sound like someone else. Playing music was my life, and like so many others I should have been walking on water, but I had sunk down in the deep. After countless bar room gigs, an album project that had reached some notoriety and thirty years of trying, I had hung up my harp but found myself hopelessly addicted to drugs and alcohol. In my most desperate hour, locked up in jail, I called upon His name, Jesus, and the Lord saved me.
One of the first things that the Lord told me was that I was going to write and sing songs for Him now. The Lord has also blessed my wife and I with the opportunity to go into the prisons and minister the word of Jesus Christ. This music project is seven years in the making; He sent the lyrics and the melodies and co-authored every song. He let my old desire die, so He could resurrect it for His glory. Jesus guided us by His Holy Spirit to record these songs at After Midnight Productions in Orange, Texas, and in the process we have a new brother in the Lord who has been just as blessed as we have during the making of this project. I pray that the Holy Ghost will touch your heart when you listen to this album and believe that it was done for Him and by Him, and in His name. Thank You, Jesus.
