KINDRED PRAISE is a newly formed group that is comprised of cousins (kindred). They represent the gospel in song through three generations of the Johnson-Wood-Parker Family, hence their name KINDRED PRAISE. Their musical style is contemporary and “different”. It’s gospel music with a flair of R & B and jazz sounds. The music has a special message that captures the attention of young people. However, its message is universal and it appeals to the adult audience as well. The title song is “He’s Greater”.
The group consists of William Roberts, III, Kayenda Johnson and Kristle Ransom. They are the songwriters and vocalists on this CD. They are natives of Baltimore, Maryland. William, III serves as the producer and the technical engineer of his first major recording project. He is an outstanding musician and he plays both the percussions and the keyboard on this recording. Kayenda is a talented songwriter and a scholar. She is currently a Virginia Tech PhD candidate in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Kristle is a performing vocal artist who also performs with Darren Atwater and the Soulful Symphony. She is known for her stunning voice. Their talents and their unique vocal styles have developed into lively, energetic, smooth gospel grooves with rhythmic harmony. This CD is sensational and their polyphonic musical passages are amazing. This project was produced to reach out to people of all walks of life with the message of GOOD NEWS that no matter what happens in life ” He’s Greater” than it all.
