From Here To Here

This is the title that Samarpan suggested for the CD, since we are always Here, there is really nowhere else.

On it, I am playing with some really hot musicians that I met in India, at the Osho Meditation Center in Pune. You can hear the touch of Indian music in the first and last piece with the traditional improvised introduction before the melody is introduced. The santour strikes out the melody gently with mallets that tap directly on the strings, and the tamboura provides the basis over which all the melodies take form.

This CD is a real mix of different cultures. There is a beautiful piece by the wonderful German guitarist, Veet Sandeh, that has a soaring flute improvisation in it that is absolutely breathtaking. (I should know, since I was the flute player, and it was a magical take, one of those divine inspirations.)

Our Italian composer and keyboard player Corrado, has a knock out singer doing his song ''Guri'' that he wrote for his son, when he was in Brasil and his son was being born in Italy.

We have a moment of pause when the overtone singer does a track that sounds like he is in his cave in Italy where he usually makes these resounding and energy balancing sounds.

If you want to use the CD to help meditate, you can let your body move gently as it feels to, following the sounds, which frees up you energy to then finally sit in bliss.

Now for the biographical information:

I was trained as a professional musician, which involved practicing the flute for hours a day, playing in an orchestra and teaching in a University and College. Things changed radically when I met Osho, and found a new way to have fun in life! I became a spiritual seeker.

Alongside being a successful street musician in Rome, I made almost yearly visits of a few months to the Osho International Commune in Pune, India. There was a lot of ''personal growth'' as well as incredible music making with musicians who came there from all over the world! (Deva Premal and Miten, Prem Joshua, Karunesh, Sambodhi Prem, Chinmaya Dunster, Milarepa, and Manish Vyas just to name of few.)

And so started my CD career with musicians I met there. (''Feng Shui'' Parts One and Two, Windsongs'', ''Pure Delight'', ''Tai Chi'', ''The Art of the Wise Women'', ''On a Day Like This'', ''Flowers'' and ''From Here to Here'')

Then I met Samarpan and found the end of seeking when I attended Satsang. (https://www.tradebit.com) I found out who I really am, (vastness, deep peace, silence) and got to make a lot of music too! I started to play keyboards and sing, and this was really a meeting with the divine for me.

The CD''s ''Divine Landscapes'', ''The Universe Inside'', Touched by the Divine'', ''Atmospheres in Music'', ''Blessings'' and ''Yes Is the Answer'' came out of this time.

The music on all of these CDs helps to support a meditative and relaxing atmosphere. - although you can sing along with most of the songs on ''Yes Is the Answer''.

After some years on the road with Samarpan, I met Arjuna (https://www.tradebit.com) who brought to light how we can actually live an awakened life, and embody who we really are on a practical level. This is fantastic, and makes life easier and more delightful - which is what my name, Vimal Nandin means - ''Pure Delight!''

And so the journey continues to be more interesting than I could have ever imagined.!
